βThe Lord will provide.β
Donating tools has been without a doubt our focus in ministry from 2020-2023. The impact that it has made continues to surprise me.
Humanitarian aid is often viewed as supplying immediate needs such as food, water, clothing, and shelter. What if we could fulfil all those needs indirectly, while making a lasting impact at the same time? That is what I believe donating tools can do.
Take a water well for example. Instead of providing water, a well is actually a tool providing a means to access water. Buying water for a village facilitates an immediate need but drilling a well and installing a pump, which takes longer, can facilitate that need more efficiently and effectively in the long run. Now imagine going a step further and providing a machine that drills the well instead of actually paying to get a well installed. In the right hands and over a longer period of time, you can make a much greater impact. Can you see the potential of tools now?
This idea is a big part of why tools have been without a doubt our focus in ministry from 2020-2023. The impact that it has made continues to surprise me. How the Lord blessed us in this ministry with such small beginnings is still beyond me. All I can say is the Lord will provide, and He certainly has.
